MATCH PREVIEW: Real Madrid Vs Sevilla Copa Del Rey R16

Real Madrid will play their third match of the year 2017 away to Sevilla. Playing a Sevilla side is no easy task but a comfortable 3-0 victory for Real Madrid in the first leg  has made it a bit easy to rotate the side.

This season under Zidane the clear focus of the team and everyone related to Real Madrid has been the league and so key players like Modric, Ronaldo, Isco and James are all rested. With Bale injured   only Benzema will represent the BBC in Seville.

Its certain that tonight against Sevilla the attacking fire power will be less than expected and the team needs to show a solid defensive performance.

Zidane is expecting a good game and fight from Sevilla despite the fact that Sevilla are 3 goals behind.

In his pre-match press conference Zizou said

I know how football is and when you lose 3-0, the start of the game is going to be tough and difficult. We have to be ready at the start of the game. Then we’ll see how the game evolves. We’re looking forward to a very tough game and we’re going to have to overcome problems, I’m sure of that.

Injuries have been a major issue for Real Madrid this season again but Zidane’s game management has dealt with these adversities very well. 39 games unbeaten is no easy task and its another objective for the Los Blancos to make it 40 against Sevilla. If the Royal Whites manage to do so then they will set a new record of 40 games unbeaten in Spanish Football history.

My expected lineup for today’s game

GK : Keylor Navas

DEFENDERS: Carvajal – Varane- Ramos- Marcelo

MIDFIELD:     Kroos- Casemiro- Kovacic

FORWARDS: Asensio- Benzema-Morata

My prediction for tonight’s game: 2-1 victory for Real Madrid.
